1500 Students Participate In 'Kids For Tiger' Festival In Pune

The programme took place between July 1 and July 7, said a statement issued by the PMC. The festival saw a good response from schools. 52 schools in the city participated in the festival.
The festival was planned with the objective to increase awareness among the students and citizens about the "Big Cats" viz Tiger, Lion, Leopard and the Snow Leopard who are currently facing the threat to survival. The projection and conservation of these species is of utmost importance as they play a pivotal role in the ecosystem. The festival was open to all and no fees were charged, said a statement issued by the PMC.
The statement added that various competitions including drawing competition, photography, essay, elocution, drama and quiz were organized. Read the full report here.
