Four black bucks were caught from near bamboo bushes and agriculture fields situated in the village Karirat under Seoni forest area yesterday and shifted to Kanha Tiger Reserve where they were released in a special wired enclosure by a team of experts, forest officials said today.
A 14-member team from Andhra Pradesh has specially arrived in Seoni district for carrying out the translocation of black bucks. Besides, senior forest officials, veterinarians and other field staff were also present during the exercise.
Two males and as many female black bucks were caught and shifted to Kanha for reintroducing them in the Kanha National Park from where they almost extinct in the year 2003. Read the full report here.
