As Ramesh Scratches Head, State Ministers Lose Theirs

At a meeting called by Chief Minister (CM) Prithviraj Chavan at Mantralaya on Monday, tempers ran high as three senior cabinet ministers - Deputy CM Ajit Pawar who also holds the Energy portfolio, Industries Minister Narayan Rane and Home Minister R R Patil - expressed discontent over Ramesh's recent statement over the proposed project.

On Tuesday, Chavan will brief the Prime Minister over the current state of the project.

Sources said Rane, who hails from Konkan, was upset over the flip-flop, said the state must come clean on whether or not to go ahead with the project. Read the full report here.
