Australia and India to work together

The Australia-India Strategic Research Fund would receive $50 million, another $1 million would go into a solar cooling research project and $20 million for research into dryland farming. More funds for joint research projects which will cover wide ranging topics from climate change to malaria vaccines and water management are in the pipeline. The two countries are currently engaged in a project with Australian agency Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) and TERI on developing a zero emission solar cooling system for rural areas.
