About the event:

Carrying forward the legacy of the inaugural awards, the Balipara Foundation Awards 2014 (BFA 14) will honour ten outstanding efforts towards biodiversity conservation in the Eastern Himalayan region. The categories include a Wildlife Conservation Award, Habitat Conservation Award, Riverine Conservation Award, Annual Award, NaturenomicsTM Award, Nature Activist Award, Young Naturalist Award, Innovation Award, Young Entrepreneur Award, Lifetime Service Award and the Mark Shand Mahout Award, in memory of the late Mark Shand, one of the greatest wildlife personalities of his generation.

The Balipara Foundation strongly believes that people who have devoted their lives to the defense of our natural treasures should be honored and BFA 2014 aims to set an example of what can be achieved through passion.
