Bandh In Bajju In Protest Against Chinkara Poaching

A demonstration was also staged in front of the Bajju police station where the bandh supporters submitted a memorandum addressed to chief minister Ashok Gehlot seeking his intervention to end poaching in the area.

Senior police and administrative officers rushed to Bajju to maintain law and order.

Mokhram Dharniya of Jeev Raksha Sansthan said a gang active in the Godu-Bajju area is hunting the deer on a large scale and supplying meat to hotels and dhabas in the area. He alleged that the same gang supplied meat to employees of a dairy plant and charged police with arresting them for consuming the meat instead of trying to catch the gang members.
