Centre's Intervention Sought To Stop Tree Felling

In the letter, the duo said that thousands of trees are being felled for burning bricks at kilns, which have mushroomed along the border. Around 80% of the firewood is brought from forests in Maharashtra, they claimed, and urged the minister to direct the Maharashtra government to enforce the related act on the lines of KTP Act (1976).
