Cicada Takeover

A mass emergence of Brood II cicadas is about to take northeastern America by storm! This event - when the cicadas emerge after spending 17 years underground - has not been seen since 1996. With over 1.5 million cicadas estimated to live in as little as an acre and a call that reaches 90 decibels, this is going to be a sight to see and hear! Brood II cicadas will emerge in this manner across New York, Washington D.C., Connecticut, Maryland, North Carolina, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
