Now, Patne wants Patil (also guardian minister of Gadchiroli) and director general of police D Sivanandhan, to approve the same Z-category security for his wife Anshu Sinha.
Sinha is additional tribal development commissioner, Nagpur. Both Patne and Sinha belong to the 1999 IAS batch. Besides extending Zcategory security to his wife, Patne wants the same cover wherever he goes in the state, guards and escort vehicle included, in view of what he says is the threat to his life. However, several senior officials in the state have similar security. ATS chief Rakesh Maria and his predecessor K P Raghuwanshi too have security cover due to specific threats to their lives, but so far, they have not voiced any wish for it to be extended to their family members.
