CVC Advice Sought On Misuse Of Funds By Haryana

This has been conveyed by environment minister Jairam Ramesh to Haryana forest minister Ajay Singh Yadav, who had written to Ramesh questioning a Central government panel report which recommended a CBI probe into the alleged harassment of IFS officer Sanjiv Chaturvedi and misuse of green funds by the state .

‘‘We have also found that the documentary evidence submitted by Sanjiv Chaturvedi is robust and needs to be investigated further. We are seeking the advice of the CVC on the modalities of this investigation,'' Ramesh said in a letter to Yadav. In his letter, Yadav had asked Ramesh to ‘‘review'' the ministry's decision on Chaturvedi whose suspension was revoked by President Pratibha Patil in January following submission of the report by the two member panel.
