Part of an initiative taken at the 2002 World Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg, DIREC2010 highlights the significance of renewable energies for sustainable development - especially for combating poverty. It is an international platform for the government, private sector, and non-governmental organisations to showcase their work on renewable energy. There will be a trade show, product launches and discussions.
