Delhi Tops Sustainable Competitiveness & Growth Chart

The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Institute for Competitiveness released the study results on Thursday at a conference on urban infrastructure in Indian cities. In an overall ranking, the top three winners are Goa, Delhi and Sikkim. Others in the top 10 list of sustainable growth are Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Mizoram, Kerala, Gujarat and Arunachal Pradesh.
Among the laggards are West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand. Others which have failed to deliver a bright picture are Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh.
States' sustainability competitiveness has been determined using parameters like social inclusion, environment and climate change, economic development, and resource availability & utilisation. Read the full report here.
