The Ethics Committee, headed by former Union Minister Manikrao Gavit, discussed the letter written by Ramesh to Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar and Rajya Sabha Chairman Hamid Ansari asking them to "dissuade" MPs with "serious conflict of interest issues" from meeting him or his Ministry''s officials.
Committee members said Ramesh could be called during the recess of Parliament after the presentation of the Budget.
Ramesh had complained about alleged violation of norms by MPs approaching him with matters of companies they are running or associated with and raising issues related to projects that do not fall in their constituencies. Read the full report here.
