Participants should assemble at the entrance gate of Ovalekar Wadi at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 11, 2015. After paying your entrance fees (Rs.100 for adults and Rs.50 for children under the age of 10) directly at the ticket counter, meet the Sanctuary team just inside the garden. Once we start our walk it might be difficult to find us, so please be punctual to avoid disappointment.
What to Wear: Please wear earth-coloured (green, brown, grey), comfortable clothes and trekking/sports shoes.
What to Carry: Bring along a cap/hat, raingear and natural mosquito repellant. Don't forget water and a snack. If you are interested in butterfly photography, don't forget your camera!
Note: Ovalekar Wadi is a plastic-free zone. Remember not to carry any plastic bags or disposable plastic bottles.

Ovalekar Wadi: The Ovalekar Wadi is a unique, open butterfly garden that is home to over 130 species of butterflies that are seen throughout the year. The garden is so successful because of the carefully selected larval host plants of the butterflies that are grown here. The two acre garden is the perfect place to understand the life cycle of butterflies, look for caterpillars and photograph a multitude of butterfly species like the Dark Blue Tiger, Brown King Crow, Blue Mormon, Blue Oakleaf, Common Baron, Great Orange Tip and others.
