The minister said Kashmir Valley is witnessing emergence of completely new entrepreneurs. “But they want peaceful atmosphere to carry their activity. It is the duty of the state and central government to provide that atmosphere," the minister said while addressing the opening ceremony of the 3rd “International Buyer-Seller Meet" organized by Valley's apex business chamber, Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries, here.
The entrepreneurs, Ramesh said, have the potential to bring out “transformation" in Kashmir, and government needs to support them.
In a bid to promote Kashmir business at international forum, the KCCI has been holding the event for past three years. Though less in number, buyers from foreign countries have been participating in the event.
The KCCI has allocated around 40 stalls to entrepreneurs and artisans to showcase their products—Kashmiri carpets, paper machie, handicrafts and handloom items, embroidery and wood carving—during the event. Read the full report here.
