Dr. Haripriya Gundimeda from IIT welcomed Robert Swan and spoke about his many achievements including being the first person in history to walk to both poles. Swan then took the stage and spoke about his many travels and the work his organisation, 2041, is doing for climate change. The current treaty protecting Antarctica expires in 2041 and Swan is on a mission to educate as many people as possible about the importance of the fragile continent so that the treaty is renewed in 2041. The talk was followed by an interactive session and was very well received by the audience.
