Everyone should assemble at the point where buses from Vasai station drop you off at the Fort by 8:00 am, where our team will be waiting by a Sanctuary banner. Our naturalists will guide you through the ruins of the fort and help you spot various species of plants, butterflies and insects as you admire the Portuguese architecture. The nearby wetlands and adjacent wooded areas are known to attract a large number of resident as well as migratory birds which you can spot from the ruins. Don't forget to carry your camera to capture the beauty of the surroundings.
Attire and what to carry: Please wear earth-coloured (green, brown, grey), comfortable and loose clothes. Bring a cap/hat, wear trekking/sports shoes and carry a natural mosquito repellant. Don't forget to carry water/fruit juices and a snack.
