Independent Nuclear Body On The Anvil

In a meeting chaired by the prime minister and attended by chief minister Prithviraj Chavan and environment minister Jairam Ramesh among others, the government said it would set up the Nuclear Regulatory Authority of India, an independent body which will replace the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board and ensure transparency.
