Jairam Refuses To Review Clearance To Jaitapur Plant

While Chavan told reporters in Mumbai that he would convene a meeting of local legislators and NGOs to discuss the issue, Jairam Ramesh asserted that environmental clearance was given after stipulating 35 conditions and safeguards.

 

“As far as environmental clearance is concerned, we have done all that is required. The 35 conditions associated with the clearance have also been made public," Ramesh said. Read the full report here.
