In separate letters to Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar and Rajya Sabha chairman Hamid Ansari, environment minister Jairam Ramesh has asked the presiding officers to act against âserious conflict of interest issues".
In his letter, Mr Ramesh has acknowledged that he has not been able to completely discourage MPs from pushing cases of companies with which they are associated. This letter sent to the presiding officers of both houses of Parliament on December 23 has not cited any names or given any instances. Read the full report here.
