Jayanthi Natarajan Has Tough Job Ahead In Environment Ministry

Her controversial predecessor Jairam Ramesh, who raised the profile of the Environment Ministry to a new level, was in conflict with several infrastructure ministries and the Prime Minister's Office(PMO) in the last days of office for holding up projects.

However, Mr Ramesh, had in reality cleared most of such projects in the last resort during his tenure, while attracting media attention for initially opposing them initially.
