A group of thirty boy scouts gathered for an interactive session with children's author and environmentalist, Katie Bagli on July 28, 2013 to celebrate Global Tiger Day. The day began with a discussion on why protecting tigers is important and the kids learned about how ecosystems provide us with clean air, water and are vital carbon sinks. They also discussed the current conservation issues surrounding tigers and how they could be a part of the movement to protect the striped cat. Bagli led a storytelling session during which she recited one of her popular fables about tigers and the kids then joined in a tiger game to understand the different forces at play in a forest. After taking a pledge to protect wildlife, the kids decided they would like to hold a poster making competition and started planning the same. One of the children, Ryan Dalal, announced that he would be going around his neighbourhood with copies of the Leave Me Alone poster to spread awareness on the issue!
