‘Leave Me Alone’: Global Tiger Day Celebrations In Kanha And Bandhavgarh!

Students at the Government College, Tala hold up the Leave Me Alone banner!

The Corbett Foundation reached out to school children in Kanha and Bandhavgarh through a series of events on tiger conservation for Global Tiger Day 2013. On July 25, 2013, an event was held at the Kendriya Vidyalaya, Malanjkhand for students from sixth to the tenth standard. Naturalists spoke to the students about the importance of protecting wildlife and encouraged them to do their bit to protect forests near them. Film screenings and discussions on the issue were also held at the Tala Government College and Tala Middle School to garner the support of young people for the Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve.
