Over 200 students from Stracey Memorial High School in Bengaluru from class III to VI participated in Global Tiger Day celebrations on July 29. Five students from Vidya Niketan Public school also attended the event with their teacher Mr. Muralidhar. The students held up Leave Me Alone posters outside their school to spread awareness about the day. They took part in art activities, which included painting a tiger in a forest, hand art, mask making and face painting. Those who made the best paintings and art received free Cub Magazine subscriptions. After a short lunch break, the students gathered at the school library where they saw the film Truth about Tigers. They were told about why tigers need space, protection and isolation. The morning's events ended with a resounding cry from the students, âI am the voice of the tiger, Leave Me Alone!"
