More than 120 children and seven teachers from Purshottam High School, St. Xavier's School, and Valmiki School joined Kids for Tigers for a nature trail at the Sanjay Gandhi National Park on July 20, 2013, as a precursor to the Global Tiger Day celebrations on July 29, 2013. Sloshing their way through the forest, the children spent time with Kids for Tigers' expert team of naturalists, learning how to identify butterflies, snails, and worms. They learned about the closely connected life cycles of the forest, and how protecting ecosystems benefits humans. The children had a wonderful morning exploring this important forest, the world's only national park within a city. They left with a new passion and understanding for the environment and the role they can play in protecting it.
