‘Leave Me Alone’: SGNP Nature Trail for Bhavan’s College Students

The students, led by Sanctuary Asia's Dr. Parvish Pandya and other skilled naturalists, were divided into groups so that could enjoy the trail to the fullest. They set off on the ‘Malad Trail' where the participants observed many species of frogs, spiders, snails, beetles, butterflies, and monsoon flora, and learned about termite mounds, Pagoda ants' nests, and forest fire-line management. The naturalists explained the importance of the unique SGNP forests, the only ones in the midst of a city where wild cats like leopards roam freely, in the entire world. The students thoroughly enjoyed their morning in the lush, green forest.
