In his order of May 6, Ramesh had detailed the manner in which the Prime Minister's Office, Chouhan and Digvijay Singh continuously intervened for getting the stop-work order lifted.

 

The stop-work order was issued in April, 2010, on the grounds that rehabilitation and resettlement of the project was lagging behind the pace of dam construction.

 

According to the conditions of clearance granted to the project in May 2001, the rehabilitation and resettlement efforts had to be taken along with the construction work. Read the full report here.
