Lucknow Comes On Nation's Noise Monitoring Map

The real time ambient noise monitoring network was launched by minister of state for environment and forests, Jairam Ramesh, in New Delhi on Wednesday.

 

Lucknow is a part of the network with Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Bangalore.

 

The plan to set up a noise monitoring network was announced by MoEF in January 2010 and UP Pollution Control Board ( UPPCB) had started putting infrastructure in place by June last year. Read the full report here.
