The TCF will help in the management and conservation of the reserves, work with local communities to further eco-tourism, facilitate creation or maintenance of assets needed to run the foundation's activities and back research, environmental education and training programmes. Conservationists believe that the establishment of these TCFs will help speed up the process of obtaining approved funds as the Field Director can obtain these directly from the Foundation. Money from tourism entry receipts will also be deposited with the Foundations. A TCF will comprise a 10-member committee and will be headed by the Forest Minister who will serve as Chairman, and the Chief Wildlife Warden as the Member-Secretary. Proposals to include Navegaon, Nagzira, Bor and Tipeshwar under the Pench Foundation and Chaprala and Bhamragarh under the Tadoba Foundation are also on the anvil.
