Mega Dam Project: Farmer Body Holds Protests Against CM

Activists of the 'Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti' burned effigies of Khandu before the Secretariat at Dispur and in different districts forcing the police to take several of them into custody, official sources said.

 

The demonstrators, carrying banners and placards, also shouted slogans accusing Khandu and his MLAs and MPs of putting pressure on the Centre to give a go-ahead for the projects. Read the full report here.
