MPs Inspect Environmental Damage At Uran

Over the last three years, various NGOs have complained to Jairam Ramesh about the rampant destruction of Uran mangroves and wetlands for the construction of SEZs like the Navi Mumbai Special Economic Zone (NMSEZ). This deforestation has led to the large-scale destruction of bird habitats, especially those of migratory birds like flamingos. Read the full report here.
