Natarajan Has Her Hands Full From Day One

She has been bequeathed the legal cases as legacy from her predecessor Jairam Ramesh and all of them have reached critical levels in the courts with decisions imminent. While the Lavasa Hill city case has implications for Congress's relations with its coalition partner NCP, the Nirma case is in BJP-ruled Gujarat and Vedanta has the Congress pro-tribal plank built on it.

While she deals with these at the domestic front, besides getting embroiled in the high-pitch battle over clearances for coal blocks, Natarajan would also be gearing up for low-key but critical talks with the US delegation headed by their special envoy Todd Stern. Read the full report here.
