New Frog Species

Two surveys in the Peak Wilderness Sanctuary in Sri Lanka have revealed eight new frog species says a paper in the Journal of Threatened Taxa. With over 100 species, most of which are endemic, Sri Lanka is a haven for amphibian enthusiasts. Unfortunately, seven of the eight newly-found species, all of which are under the genus Pseudophilautus, are already Critically Endangered.
