“There are number  of issues not addressed in the Cancun Agreements which need to be  brought back on the table," Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh said, after two days parleys with the BASIC ministers in  New Delhi.

 

The ministers were unanimous that the issues of  equity, intellectual property rights and trade should  go back to the negotiating table before the next climate conference slated to be held in December 2011 at Durban in South Africa.

 

“There are also some contradictions in the draft on Long Term Cooperative Action on climate change for Bangkok meeting which need to be corrected," Ramesh said. Read the full report here.
