The massive palatial structure built with utter disregard to environmental, wildlife or urban laws continues to be built in full swing with the government turning a blind eye towards it. The structure allegedly has no Lakes and Waterways Development Authority certificate nor a permission of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation. Furthermore the structure is being built in the heart of greenbelt, on the edge of a National Park, in gross violation of Supreme Court rulings. Similar structures that were being built in the green belt including the DGPs house had to be shelved after court's intervention.

On Monday a ministerial vehicle with a beacon light and two flag poles was spotted by The Kashmir Monitor at the farm house after a tip off. The white bullet proof ambassador bearing number JK02X 9742 was seen with its boot open and raw materials being taken out from it. On seeing the cameras, some persons including a gun wielding policeman tried to catch Monitor lens man but failed. Sensing trouble the men quickly unloaded all the material from the government vehicle and drove the ambassador out of the compound. But not before The Kashmir Monitor had managed to get pictures of its number plate.

Sources say the car was being used to ferry all the required material as no construction material was allowed anywhere in the green belt because of a ban. Read the full report here.
