Overseas Experts Praise Taiwan Greening Efforts

The EPA made the remarks after Chien Hui-chen, deputy director of the agency's Department of Air Quality and Noise Control, introduced to participants of the conference the actions Taiwan has taken to reduce carbon emission and its visions of actively joining the international carbon market mechanism.

 

“Actions introduced include pushing for the passing of a draft act on greenhouse gas reduction and relevant management regulations," the EPA said, adding that many countries were interested in the act and inquired further details, such as reduction requirements. Read the full report here.
