"Bangladesh is among the countries most vulnerable to the global climate change. We've taken many steps to protect our people from the adverse impacts of climate change, but we need international support to successfully face the challenge," she said.
The Prime Minister was addressing a session in retreat, as part of the ongoing three-day Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) 2011, at State Reception Centre, King's Park here this (Saturday) afternoon.
Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard, Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister Kamla Persad Bissessar and other heads of governments attending the CHOGM joined the retreat.
Briefing reporters, PM's Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad said that during the retreat, Hasina and other CHOGM leaders discussed various issues including climate change, food security and safe migration.
The Prime Minister said that though Bangladesh contributes very little to the global warming, it has to face the wraths of the climate changes.
