Prodded By Ramesh, Maharashtra Creates Two More Posts Of PCCF

The posts which have been upgraded as principal chief conservator of forests (PCCF) include director of social forestry at Pune and additional PCCF (production & management) at Van Bhavan, Nagpur. A notification in this regard was issued on Tuesday evening. At present, there are only two PCCFs post - one for wildlife and another head of forest force (HoFF).
Even as the two posts were upgraded, promotion orders have also been issued on Tuesday evening. APCCF SK Khetarpal has been named as the new PCCF (wildlife). The post was lying vacant after DC Pant retired on March 31. Khetarpal has been holding the additional charge since then.
Khetarpal, who will have tenure of two years, brings with him rich wildlife experience as he headed the Mumbai wildlife circle earlier. Read the full report here.
