The festival has been planned with the objective to increase awareness among the students and citizen about the "Big Cats" viz Tiger, Lion, Leopard and the Snow Leopard who are currently facing the threat of becoming extinct. The protection and conservation of these species is of the utmost importance as they play a pivotal role in the ecosystem. The festival is open to all and no fees will be charged, said a statement issued by PMC.
The statement added that various competitions have been planned to be undertaken during the festival. The competitions include drawing competition, photography, essay, elocution, drama, quiz.
Along with the competitions, rallies, wildlife film screening and audio visual presentations have also been arranged. Prizes will be given to the winning student/team. Read the full report here.
