“The Municipal Solid Waste (Management and Handling) Rules 2000 must be amended to incorporate clauses related to the inclusion of waste pickers in waste collection,...processing of recyclable scrap waste (and recognition of their rights to) access, collect, sell and retain the income from sale of scrap," the ragpickers said in their memorandum.
