Rajasthan To Increase Forest Cover From 10 To 20 Pc: Jairam Ramesh

Talking to mediapersons here last evening, Mr Ramesh said presently the state had forest cover in 10 per cent of its total lands and this would be increased to 20 per cent in next 10 years.

Efforts for afforestation are focussed on arid zones in the desert districts, the Union Minister said adding that due support and aid would be provided to the state for the purpose from the Centre. Read the full report here.
