Police say a special 24-hour court system will be set up to deal specifically with offences during and relating to the climate change conference.Â
The 12-day talks begin on Monday.
Police spokesperson Vishnu Naidoo says these special courts will be situated at the Durban Magistrate's Court.Â
He says they don't want to be handling cases after delegates have left the country.
"It will be any cases where a foreigner - either involved in the crime, committing the crime or a victim of a crime, or a witness to a crime - we'll make a determination whether that foreigner attended as a delegate or is here for the purpose of COP." Read the full report here.
