‘State Not Doing Enough To Protect Birds'

“It is distressing to note that such things happen in a State known for its vast avian wealth especially some of the rarest endangered species like Jerdon's Courser and Great Indian Bustard", Mr. Grewal told The Hindu in a chat during his three-day visit to the city. “The State should take pride in possessing such wealth but I have a feeling, not enough is being done to protect species that have made appearance after becoming extinct, those on the brink and others."
