About the event:

The unique Panna landscape has successfully survived the pressures of neglect, poaching, mining and other similar threats. It is high time that we take action and conserve this unique landscape before we lose it forever. What better way to do this than the wonderful photography you all do!

Conservation photography is a blend of the art of wildlife and nature photography, of documentary photography and the knowledge of natural history in the broadest sense. It is a way to involve the large and growing community of nature enthusiasts in building up scientific databases, creation of awareness and in conservation action. It is also a way giving back to nature, in this case especially to the Panna landscape.

The Sanctuary Panna Wilderness Forever Photography Contest 2017 is being organised by Sanctuary Asia with the objective of celebrating this unique natural heritage, promoting awareness of ‘The Panna Landscape' and to give a fillip to its conservation. Panna landscape lovers from India and abroad are invited participate in this photography contest featuring the best of nature photography from the Panna landscape. Winning images will be published in the the June 2017 issue of Sanctuary Asia magazine and will travel as part of an exhibition to spread awareness on the Panna landscape.
