It is said the NCP brass had recently taken up the issue of the blocked environmental clearance for the project with Jayanthi Natarajan, and also at a higher level. The Maharashtra heavyweights, it is said, are arguing that former environment minister Jairam Ramesh had taken an 'unrealistically rigid' and 'populist' stand against the project.
