TISS Students Ready Black Welcome For Jairam Ramesh

The minister will be greeted by students wearing black T-shirts and badges, empty chairs and a barrage of questions in connection with his nod for the 9,900-MW Jaitapur Nuclear Power Project and diversion of 1,253 hectares of forest land for the POSCO project in Orissa.

Upset at the minister's ‘irresponsible' decisions in recent times, TISS students plan to corner Ramesh at the institute. ‘'The lives of several people are endangered by the current policies that promote corporate interests over safety, sustainability, livelihood and human rights.
