"Greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, methane, chloroflorocarbons etc are gradually increasing in the atmosphere and as Kanpur is one of the most populated and industrialised cities of the country, the effect of over-pollution and population results in the emission of several harmful gases that favour spread of epidemic diseases like cholera, malaria, dengue etc," said Dr Krishnangshu Ray, director of Heritage School of Tropical Medicines, Kolkata.
According to the doctors, the 'global change drivers' are the factors responsible for immuno deficiencies, infertility and even creates pesticide-resistance in the body and the weak body easily gets infected with various diseases. Read the full report here.
