Two Leopard Skins Recovered By The Uttrakhand Forest Department - India

The suspects managed to flee into the jungle when the officials intercepted the car as there was prior specific information about the movement of illegal wildlife goods in the area. The officials recovered two leopard skins measuring 9 ft and 8 ft which were hidden under the seat packed in gunny bags.

One of the suspect Raguvir Singh is a known supplier of  leopard claws and skins  in the area. The forest department   officials initiated a manhunt for the suspects whose details were collected during the undercover investigation.

The operation was assisted by Wildlife Trust of India's Enforcement Assistance and Law Division team.
