Villagers Apprise Jairam Of Projects, Threats

“The Minister gave us a patient hearing and assured us of needful intervention," the signatories from Mahuva, Bhavnagar, Sanand, Bhadreshwar and Ankleshwar said in the release. They said they apprised him of the people's protests in the state, and mentioned particularly the Nirma project in Mahuva, the upcoming OPG power plant in Bhadreshwar near Mundra in Kutch, the Sabarmati Riverfront Development Project in Ahmedabad, and the proposed Nuclear power plant in Mitha Birdi, Bhavnagar.
