Robert Swan is the first man ever to have walked to both the North and South Poles, unassisted, He has been leading groups of young climate leaders to the Antarctic for years in a bid to protect the icy continent. He spoke to the students about the vital importance of their being a part of the campaign to fight global warming as this would determine the quality of their existence in the years ahead.
Spellbound by his narration of his adventures, and how Swan worked long and hard to realise his childhood dream of visiting Antarctica, many of the students readily agreed to be a part of the campaign against climate change. A vibrant interactive session about his mission served to light the way for future action that young persons could take. The audience was largely made up of college students, environmentalists and wildlife experts, plus representatives of Sanctuary Asia, the Wildlife Conservation Trust and Deutsche Bank.
